Objective #2: Designing an Evaluation form for data collection to be filled out by every student who interviewed with WRP in order to gauge how positive/negative their experience was, and follow up with them after the interview process

Evidence #3: Including the Survey Monkey Survey, and the WRP Interview Evaluation Report in my portfolio, along with logging any phone calls or emails made to those students throughout the follow-up process.

 Activities

-          Created my own SurveyMonkey account.

-          Emailed the WRP interviewees to let them know of any updates, offer my services and support to them, and notify them that a survey about their WRP experience would be sent out to them in the upcoming months.

-          Developed a list of questions in a range of formats (essays, multiple choice, rating scale etc.), to include in the survey.

-          Met with my supervisor at Disability Services for Students to finalize a set list of questions for the survey.

-          Developed, formatted, and saved the survey on my SurveyMonkey Account

-          This survey will be sent out to the students next semester, when their WRP application becomes open to employers.

This survey was developed in order for the staff at Disability Services and Career Services to track the progress of our WRP students, and to make ourselves aware of any setbacks or areas of improvement in the interview preparation process.  This survey was created in a way that will also allow us to see how many of our students find placements, pursue placements, and where exactly those placements are located. Even more importantly, it will tell us why a student decided on a particular placement, rejected a placement, or did not get offered a placement. Throughout the survey, as you can see in the .pdf preview provided above, the students are encouraged to provide feedback about how we can make the WRP experience better, and to explain their answers to many of the questions. Last year, we only had four students interview for the program, and the WRP recruiter was less than impressed. Since we had nine very impressive, well-prepared students interview this year, we want to ensure that success again in the future, and this survey will help us perfect our preparation techniques.

As a psychology major, data collection and survey development have been a huge part of my education. By completing this objective, I was able to put my knowledge to use and really test my research skills in an appropriate, real-life setting. After the surveys are completed, I will be using the culminated information to develop a comprehensive data report for Disability Services and Career Services staff to utilize when preparing for the next round of Workforce Recruitment interviews.
